The Early Years of Philanthropy
Growing up, I was exposed to the world of philanthropy from a young age. My mother, who was a strong advocate for social justice, instilled in me the importance of giving back to the community. She would often take me to volunteer at local charities and community organizations, where I would see firsthand the impact that small acts of kindness could have on people’s lives. Some of my earliest memories of philanthropy include:
These experiences not only shaped my values but also taught me the value of hard work and dedication.
“They get turned out every day, and they get exercised. We even have a massage therapist that comes in on a weekly basis except for a few that are older but need it on a more frequent basis. That’s something that we feel they deserve because they came out of negative situations and we want to give them the best that they can have while they’re with us. A lot of them that aren’t ridable are saved and are used in our programs to help teach people how to groom or maybe teach people how to lead a horse or teach people how to pick a horse’s feet.
